An Interactive WYSIWYG
Leah Perez and Aslin Kirkpatrick are excited to reveal their web-based application WYWIWYG (What You Want Is What You Get). Forget the pen and paper, let their screen be your canvas and express a style that is all your own. End up with the perfect web space that fulfills all your needs. Visitors are strongly encouraged to take part on November 27, 2008 at McMaster University.
WYWIWYG is a web-based application that provides users with the basic tools for customizing their own web space. Equipped with a toolbox and blank canvas, users can choose from a variety of background colours and textures, skeletons and menus. They'll also have the option to insert stock photos and filler text to better visualize the end product. Each feature dynamically fills the canvas as the user drags and drops the item into place. Once the user is satisfied with the general layout, they can click "save" to capture the canvas as a jpg image. The image is then instantly emailed to the site's creators, Aslin and Leah, to bring your ideas to life. Working from your personal canvas, they will offer several designs in the spirit of your work.
