Ideas

Page history last edited by Aslin Kirkpatrick 3 years, 4 months ago

Initially this idea was known as "Interactive WYSIWYG." It is officially "What You Want Is What You Get" aka WyWiWyG now. Pronounced: wee wyg (lol)

Our project is a web-based application aimed for graphic or web designer to better conceptualize their ideas to an intended audience. This visual aid will enable a quick sketch without the use of pen and paper.  Ideas can be communicated easily just by using a mouse (which can be replace with a pen tool/ LED pen on a whiteboard).

Objective:

to provide an efficient method of on-screen sketches

to communicate ideas through the use of a screen and pen (mouse) as opposed to pen and paper

Features:

true wysiwyg layout and design (no coding)

skeleton (?) tbd

drag and drop object

frame as a fixed variable throughout the interface. this frame is the based for all the tools, palette (if applicable)

4 options of web page type: gallery, content-based, commercial, editorial

text size: A A A

lorem ipsum generator

vector based graphic (scalable for different monitor resolution)

select image picker from template

Method and technical consideration: Flash actionscript3.0, Illustrator

Prospect:

Possibility of projecting this idea on a whiteboard with a led pen for corporate presentation when proposing a layout design. This step maybe a little too far fetch but given the time and resources, I don't see why we couldn't achieve it.
